The method

Not guesswork.
A repeatable system.

The goal is not to feel destroyed after every workout. The goal is to build strength and capability you can track over time.

01

Train in focused blocks

Mesocycles give each phase a purpose and create a clear path from one week to the next.

02

Match effort to the day

RPE-based loading helps us train hard enough to improve without pretending every session feels the same.

03

Track what matters

Loads, repetitions, effort, and progress live in your program—not in vague memory.

04

Build around big movements

Compound lifts form the foundation, with exercise selection adjusted to the person in front of me.

Why I coach

I know what it feels like to rebuild.

I went from weighing 300 pounds in high school to earning a football scholarship at Missouri Baptist University. After my freshman year, I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease at L4–L5 and learned that the disc between those vertebrae had severely deteriorated. Continuing to train meant learning how to rebuild with more patience and purpose.

Physical therapy became an important part of that process. I worked with someone who listened to my goals and helped me build toward them instead of simply telling me to avoid anything challenging. That experience taught me the value of building a foundation, understanding technique, and progressing at the right pace.

That experience—and the education behind my CSCS and ISSA certifications—shaped how I coach today. You may not be returning from an injury. You may be fighting inconsistency, uncertainty, or a mental block. Either way, we start with what you can do and build from there.

“Your starting point does not have to become your ceiling.”

What happens next

Simple from day one.

  1. 1

    Apply for coaching

Use the coaching form, email me, or call or text 325-669-3842. Send a short note about what you want to accomplish, what has felt difficult, and what training looks like now.

  2. 2

    Talk through your goals

Then we’ll talk by phone, Zoom, or in person. I’ll ask questions so I can understand your goals, training history, schedule, and what you need from coaching.

  3. 3

Get your plan and start training

I build your plan around your needs, experience, schedule, and available equipment. From there, we train, track progress, and adjust when needed.

Common questions

Before we get started.

Still unsure? Send me a note. A first conversation is not a commitment.

Do I need lifting experience?+

No. Your program should meet you at your current level. We build technique, confidence, and workload progressively.

How does online coaching work?+

Online coaching starts with a free consultation by phone or Zoom. We’ll discuss your goals, training experience, schedule, available equipment, and the type of support you need. From there, I build an individualized training program with clear instructions, exercise demonstration videos, RPE targets, and progress tracking. Depending on your needs, check-in calls can be weekly, every other week, or monthly. You can also text me when questions come up, and I respond during business hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central. Pricing depends on the level of support and check-in schedule, and we’ll discuss that after the consultation.

What if I have an injury history?+

Personal training is not physical therapy or medical care. During or after your consultation, you’ll complete a health and injury-history form so I can understand any relevant limitations and whether medical clearance may be needed. When training is appropriate, I can adapt exercise selection and progression while respecting guidance from your qualified healthcare provider. If something falls outside my scope, I will refer you to an appropriate healthcare professional and may require medical clearance before training begins.

Where is in-person training available?+

In-person coaching is available in the Buffalo Gap and Abilene, Texas area. Online coaching is available beyond the local area.
